The modernization effort will span three years, starting with Phase-I, which encompasses the critical 480-kilometer railway corridor connecting Karachi and Rohri. The multi-billion-dollar initiative aims to revamp the country’s rail infrastructure, increase cargo efficiency, and boost passenger transit speeds across the national network.
