Finance Ministry Issues Revised Rates Impacting Essential Consumer Commodities
ISLAMABAD — The federal government has notified an immediate increase in the prices of petroleum products, citing adjustments aligned with international price benchmarks.
According to an official notification from the Ministry of Finance, petrol has been increased by Rs 5.77 per litre, setting the new price at Rs 331.20. High-Speed Diesel (HSD) saw an upward revision of Rs 6.47 per litre, bringing its retail price to Rs 390.42.
Economic analysts project that the rise in high-speed diesel will exert fresh inflationary pressure on inter-city logistics and agricultural supply chains across the country.
