The president will take the oath of office from Justice Qazi Faiz Isa on September 17, 2023.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Article 179 of the Constitution states that a judge of the Supreme Court shall hold office until he attains the age of 65 unless he resigns or is removed from office.<\/p>\n<p>READ:<a href=\"https:\/\/nayaujala.com\/englishlish\/2023\/05\/31\/bench-hearing-pleas-against-leaks-commission-not-appropriate-statement-to-sc\/\">Bench hearing pleas against leaks commission not appropriate;statement to SC<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This appointment, scheduled to come into effect on September 17, 2023, coincides with the retirement of the current Chief Justice, Umar Ata Bandial, who will conclude his tenure on September 16.<\/p>\n<p>In a formal ceremony, the President will administer the oath to Justice Qazi Faez Isa on September 17, 2023, marking the commencement of his tenure as the Chief Justice of Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>A formal ceremony will be held on September 17, 2023, where President Alvi will administer the oath of office to Justice Qazi Faez Isa.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Isa will become the 29th top judge of the country.<\/p>\n<p>This symbolic event will mark the commencement of his tenure as the Chief Justice of Pakistan and will be attended by esteemed members of the legal community, dignitaries, and representatives from various sectors of society.<\/p>\n<p>As the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Isa will be entrusted with the responsibility of leading the country\u2019s highest judicial institution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Justice Isa\u2019s brief profile<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Born on October 26, 1959, in Quetta, Justice Isa possesses an impressive background.<\/p>\n<p>His father, the late Qazi Mohammad Isa, played a significant role in the Pakistan movement, while his grandfather, Qazi Jalaluddin, served as the prime minister of Khanate of Kalat in pre-partition India.<\/p>\n<p>In the 1980s, Justice Isa was associated with the Bar of England and Wales before becoming an advocate of the Supreme Court from Balochistan.<\/p>\n<p>With over 27 years of experience, he has practiced law in various high courts, the Federal Shariat Court, and the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, he has been an active member of the Balochistan High Court Bar Association, Sindh High Court Bar Association, and the Supreme Court Bar Association.<\/p>\n<p>READ:<a href=\"https:\/\/nayaujala.com\/englishlish\/2023\/06\/07\/sc-clubs-ecps-election-case-petitions-challenging-judgment-review-law\/\">SC clubs ECP&amp;#8217;s election case, petitions challenging judgment review law<\/a><\/p>\n<p>At different times, he has served as the chief justice of Balochistan.
