US Strikes Iran: Fordow, Natanz & Isfahan Nuclear Sites Targeted
June 22, 2025 – Tehran/Washington:
US President Donald Trump has confirmed that American forces have launched a “highly successful” attack on three major Iranian nuclear sites — Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan — declaring that the heavily fortified Fordow site is now “gone.”
The move marks a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, with the US now officially joining the Israeli military campaign. The strikes come amid over a week of intense aerial combat between the two regional rivals.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemned the attack, calling it a violation of international law, the UN Charter, and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). He stated that Iran “reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interests, and people.”

Despite the strikes, Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization reported that radiation monitoring systems and field surveys showed no signs of contamination or risk to nearby populations. The agency reaffirmed that Iran’s nuclear program would continue, calling it a “national industry built on the sacrifices of nuclear martyrs.”
According to US media reports, B-2 stealth bombers and submarine-launched Tomahawk cruise missiles were used in the operation. CBS News said Washington had communicated to Tehran that no further attacks were planned and that the US was not pursuing regime change.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres expressed grave concern, warning that the situation could spiral out of control, with “catastrophic consequences” for the region and beyond.
Iran reports 430 deaths and over 3,500 injuries from Israeli attacks, while Israeli authorities confirmed 24 civilian deaths and 1,272 injuries in the ongoing hostilities.
