Pakistan Strongly Condemns US Strikes on Iranian Nuclear Sites: Foreign Office

Islamabad – June 22, 2025: Pakistan has strongly condemned the recent United States airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, calling them a dangerous continuation of Israeli aggression and a violation of international law.

In a statement issued by the Foreign Office on Sunday, the spokesperson expressed deep concern over the escalating tensions in the region following the US attacks. “The US strikes on Iranian nuclear installations are a direct violation of international legal norms and represent a continuation of Israel’s military campaign,” the statement read.

The Foreign Office emphasized that such aggression would only exacerbate regional instability and increase the risk of violence. “The growing hostility and military action against Iran are causing a serious escalation in tensions, which could have severe consequences not just for the Middle East, but for the entire world.”

Referring to the principles of the United Nations Charter, the spokesperson asserted that Iran has the legitimate right to defend itself. “Under Article 51 of the UN Charter, Iran is entitled to take necessary measures for its self-defense against acts of aggression,” the statement added.

The Foreign Office also stressed the urgent need to ensure the safety and security of civilians in the conflict zone. “Protecting civilian lives and property must remain a top priority.”

Calling for immediate de-escalation, Pakistan urged all parties to act with restraint and adhere to international humanitarian laws. “The only viable path to resolving regional disputes is through dialogue and diplomacy,” the spokesperson said. “A peaceful resolution in accordance with the UN Charter and international legal norms is essential.”

Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to regional peace and stability and called on the international community to play a proactive role in preventing further deterioration of the situation.
