Iran, Russia, China, Pakistan Slam U.S.-Israel Strikes in Heated UN Security Council Session
New York – Iran and several key global powers, including Russia, China, and Pakistan, issued strong condemnations on Monday against the United States and Israel over recent military strikes targeting Iranian nuclear facilities.
During an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council, Iran’s Ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani described the U.S. action as “blatant military aggression” and warned that Tehran reserves the “complete and lawful right” to respond under international law.
The Iranian diplomat slammed what he called a “shameful chapter in U.S. political history,” referring to the coordinated strikes on nuclear sites in Isfahan, Natanz, and Fordow early Sunday. Iravani accused U.S. President Donald Trump of ordering the attacks and “brazenly boasting” about it on social media.
“Iran is an independent and peace-seeking nation,” Iravani said. “Yet it has been repeatedly threatened by the warmongering U.S. regime. These unprovoked and premeditated attacks cannot go unanswered.”

He also linked the U.S. operation to ongoing Israeli military actions that began Friday, which Iran claims have killed more than 400 civilians. Iravani criticized the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Security Council for “double standards” and “silence” in the face of what he called “moral, political, and legal disgrace.”
Russia’s UN envoy, Vasily Nebenzya, echoed Iran’s position, labeling the attacks a “complete humiliation of the international community.”
“We strongly condemn the U.S.’s provocative actions,” he said. “Some Council members are turning a blind eye to these violations, showing a lack of political courage. Israel still refuses to join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, while Iran is the most heavily inspected country in the world.”

China’s representative, Fu Cong, called the attacks “a dangerous violation” of both international law and Iran’s sovereignty. He warned that the strikes have severely undermined the global nuclear non-proliferation regime.
“These unilateral actions not only breach the UN Charter but also threaten international peace and security,” he said.
Pakistan also voiced deep concern over the escalation. Addressing the Council, Ambassador Iftikhar Ahmad urged an immediate ceasefire and return to dialogue.

“These attacks are a clear breach of international law,” he stated. “The Security Council must act. We call on all members to support a draft resolution demanding an unconditional ceasefire and a return to meaningful negotiations.”
The emergency session concluded without a vote, but the unified outcry from multiple major nations has intensified pressure on Washington and Tel Aviv. The international community now watches closely as the Security Council weighs its next steps amid fears of broader conflict in the region.
