China Builds Massive Floating Solar Power Project on Sea Surface

China has successfully completed a state-of-the-art floating solar power project built entirely on the sea surface. Thousands of solar panels have been installed across the 15-acre expanse of the facility.

The plant has a generation capacity of 7.5 megawatts and is expected to produce 16.7 million units of clean, renewable electricity every year.

To protect the infrastructure from rust and marine life, special floats and protective frameworks have been installed. A robust anchoring system ensures the plant’s stability over water.

Experts suggest that this project could help reduce power generation costs by up to 10%. According to reports, it may serve as a replicable model for other coastal regions.
