Toyota has revealed the all-new Land Cruiser FJ, a compact off-roader joining the brand’s legendary Land Cruiser lineup. The new Baby Land Cruiser will officially debut at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 and is expected to launch in Japan by mid-2026, with global rollout to follow.
The Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 2026 promises a perfect blend of “Freedom & Joy,” combining daily drivability with serious off-road strength.
Since 1951, the Land Cruiser name has symbolized toughness and reliability. From the first BJ that climbed Mount Fuji to today’s 300, 250, and 70 Series, the Land Cruiser family has evolved without losing its rugged DNA. With over 12 million units sold in 190+ countries, it remains Toyota’s most iconic SUV range.
The upcoming Land Cruiser FJ will serve as a smaller, more affordable member of the family — ideal for new off-road enthusiasts.
The Land Cruiser FJ features a boxy shape, bold fenders, and a simple, functional interior designed for both comfort and adventure. Its flat dashboard, wide visibility, and modular bumpers highlight practical design, while Toyota Safety Sense ensures driver protection on every terrain.
Built on Toyota’s robust IMV-based platform, the FJ maintains the brand’s legendary durability. With 4WD, a 2.7L engine, and 6-speed automatic transmission, it delivers 163 PS power and 246 Nm torque. The compact size offers a tight 5.5-meter turning radius, ideal for city and trail driving alike.
Alongside the FJ, Toyota also introduced the Land Hopper, a compact electric mobility device that fits in the SUV’s cargo space — perfect for exploring trails after parking.
